FaithWise ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Leonenko Group, LLC, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website at faith-wise.com and our mobile applications for iOS and Android (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
1. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide
- Account Information: Name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register.
- Sign-In Data: If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from those providers.
- User Content: Prayers, study notes, Scripture highlights, bookmarks, devotional journal entries, verse memory cards, conversation history, and any other content you create within the Service.
- Profile Information: Denomination preference, spiritual growth goals, and settings you configure.
- Support Communications: Messages you send to our support team.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: Features accessed, session duration, interaction patterns, and in-app navigation (used to improve the Service, not to profile you).
- Push Notification Token: A device token used solely to deliver push notifications you have opted into. You can disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.
- Log Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps when you access the web version of the Service.
C. Payment Information
We do not store your full credit card or payment details. Payments made on the web are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions purchased through the iOS App or Android App are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store respectively, and are subject to their privacy policies. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status across platforms.

- To personalize your experience (denomination-aware AI responses)
- To process payments and manage subscription status
- To send transactional emails (account verification, password reset, subscription receipts)
- To send push notifications you have opted into (devotional reminders, prayer alerts)
- To respond to your support requests
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your prayers, notes, or personal content to train AI models.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Stripe - Web payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
- Apple App Store / Google Play - Mobile payment processing
- RevenueCat - Subscription management across platforms (revenuecat.com/privacy)
- OpenRouter / Anthropic - AI chat processing. Your messages are sent to process your requests and are not used to train models.
- Postmark - Transactional email delivery
- Vercel - Web hosting and edge delivery
- Neon - Encrypted database hosting
- Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In - Authentication providers (optional)
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on encrypted Neon Postgres databases hosted in the United States. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure session management. While we implement strong safeguards, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: With the third-party services listed above, strictly to operate the Service.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to you.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete information in your account settings.
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent and takes effect within 30 days.
- Data Export: Request an export of your content (prayers, notes, etc.) by contacting support.
- Push Notifications: Opt out at any time through your device settings or in-app notification preferences.
- Marketing Emails: Unsubscribe from non-transactional emails via the unsubscribe link in any email.

7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records).
8. Children's Privacy
FaithWise is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us at support@faith-wise.com.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, disclose, and sell (we do not sell personal information). You may request deletion of your personal information as described in Section 6 above. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.
10. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the US, you consent to the transfer of your information to the US. We comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR for European users where applicable.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
